There are so many things to do, see and discover in the city of Honfleur, you will have to choose in order to make your short stay with us unforgettable.

We are almost sure that you will very quickly plan another stay to come visit us again 😉

So here we go, we give you our advice and our good tips in the heart of the old medieval center!!

1- Explore the historic center

37 hectares of protected area to explore and admire…
Every street corner offers you an opportunity to marvel and take out the cameras.

  • Obligatory passage around our iconic Old Bassin, its lively quays, its tall colorful houses, its terraces, its carousel… in short, the very heart of the maritime city.
  • Then explore the Sainte Catherine district and visit its beautiful church wooden which sits in the middle of the square of the same name. If you are lucky there will be the market and its inimitable atmosphere (Wednesday and Saturday mornings).
  • And finally get lost in the old streets of the medieval city, stroll through the many small shops, local produce stores, craft workshops and other tea rooms.

2- A little restaurant

A break is in order... it's hard to resist the call of the many terraces and small restaurants that abound in our beautiful town of Honfleur.
Our advice on this, don’t resist… succumb without feeling guilty!
You will find a very varied offering here, from traditional brasseries to gourmet cuisine, including fish specialties and other local products always featured on the menus of our Honfleur chefs... so treat yourself.

3- Climb to Mont Joli

What if we shared with you Honfleur’s worst kept secret 😉
Discover what is certainly the most beautiful view of the city!!
For that you have to gain height…

Leave the city center, from the Sainte Catherine Church, follow rue du Puits, then take the Mont Joli ramp, which winds up along the Côte de Grâce.
It's a bit of a climb but hang in there, we promise you a great reward upon arrival!
What awaits you up there is a panorama of the city below and the entire Seine estuary before your eyes, dominated by the majestic silhouette of the Pont de Normandie... in short, it's amazing!
