Joseph Conrad was a ship captain and a great writer of the 20th century. With this exhibition, come and discover the life of this great man through his writings and objects that belonged to him taking place in a place conducive to maritime life and history: the Lieutenancy.

He was a professional sailor who took up writing following the bankruptcy of his shipping company in the late 19th century. He is a prolific and important author for maritime and English literature!
