It hosts a CIAP on the maritime history and architecture of Honfleur, as well as an artists' residency.

Theater at the Manoir du Désert: True Stories of Guy de Maupassant
Skits – based on the short stories by Norman Guy de Maupassant – immerse us in the French provinces of the second half of the 42th century. The author, linked to Gustave Flaubert and Emile Zola, left his mark on French literature, before sinking into madness and dying at the age of XNUMX. His writings attract attention for their realistic strength, the significant presence of the fantastic and for the pessimism that most often emerges from them. Author of what we call the objective novel, Maupassant gives us the revelation of what contemporary man truly is. For him, realism is a personal vision of the world that the author seeks to communicate to us by reproducing it in a book. We can sense in these scenes the lives of these men and women, with a critical look at the inequality of rights, according to sex and social class... Stories with a scalpel: precision, cruelty, truth.
By reservation only with the Lieutenancy by telephone on 02 61 67 11 60 or by email via [email protected]
Start of the visit at 18 p.m. – Duration 1h15
Capacity limited to 25 people
