Port de Honfleur – Ports du Calvados

The channel that leads to Honfleur is a time machine. It takes us from the gigantism of the Pont de Normandie to the refinement of the Vieux Bassin. Magical minutes. Around a bend, the town appears, nestled in the green of its hills. We enter this port in silence, like in a museum. We salute the fishermen and the ghosts of the explorers who left here for America five centuries ago. We moor below the café terraces and painters' easels. A stopover far from our times.
