La Cidrerie: Multiple cultural place
The old Cider House, created in 1833 which was also a grain factory in the 50s, has been rehabilitated while respecting the Normandy building while giving it modernity in its renovation and layout. Through this rehabilitation, the town of Beuzeville has decided to create a cultural center a stone's throw from the renovated town center, an additional element of the dynamism and attractiveness of the town.
The cultural center includes several distinct spaces:
A covered hall on 2 levels which will host markets and trade fairs as well as exhibitions and artistic performances which can accommodate up to 300 people standing.
A brand new performance hall that can accommodate theater, music, cinema or business seminars. With a capacity of 140 seats, it will host the cultural season between headliners, discoveries and amateur artists.
Part of the old vats has been converted into a café space to allow spectators to relax before or after the performances, the old grain silo into an exhibition space and future digital museum (Micro-folie).
The old seed store will host a test store allowing the launch of a new business in addition to what already exists in the town.
The Cidrerie aims to be a unifying cultural facility in the region, an activity for the city, a center of tourist attraction for its heritage and artistic aspect, a place of cultural awareness (reception of school or extracurricular students, associative projects, etc.) but also a place of creation with the reception of artists in residence.
