Description

At the gates of Honfleur, this ride is to be taken in a small sports carriage and takes you to discover the surroundings of Quetteville, between the bocage landscapes of the Vallée de la Morelle and the grassy agricultural plain.

On the way back, give yourself and your horse a break! Stop at the Saint Laurent church and a stone's throw from the route, the fountain of the same name offers you its waters... A whole story to hold in your hands... The waters of the St Laurent fountain are renowned for curing skin diseases.

As for the church, erected in the 11th century in the desire to Christianize the Vikings settled in the region, it is dedicated to Saint Laurent. It has an altar with a statue of the Saint who was invoked to cure skin ailments. The custom was to stick pins on the statue in the place corresponding to its pain.

Quetteville celebrates Saint Laurent in August… Come to this Calvados town by horse-drawn carriage!
