The Old Basin
First stop on our journey, a stroll around the Old Bassin, very early in the morning, to avoid the crowds and have Honfleur all to ourselves. The lights are magnificent, the facades colorful and the charm undeniable. We take advantage of this morning to wander through the alleys and admire the unique architecture that characterizes the city of artists the bars and restaurants are so numerous in the historic center that we have no trouble finding a nice place with a view for an impromptu breakfast on the terrace!

By discovering the boutiques of local, we were inspired and the idea of a picnic on the beach was born. After having visited the different producers of the territory in search of cheeses, breads, sausages, cider and other 100% local foodstuffs, here we are on the booty beach, feet in the sand, admiring the sunset with our basket full of good things!
The day is coming to an end...
Up at 5 a.m. for a ascent of Mont-Joli, with the objective of a breathtaking view of the old town at sunrise. A walk accessible from the city center with the reward of magnificent lights, a breathtaking view of the Normandy Bridge and a moment suspended in time when all the people of Honfleur are still asleep.
Once at the top, we discover the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Chapel…sumptuous!
We learn that the 23 chimes ring out every day, at 16 p.m., the Ave Maria. We will come back, for sure, to admire this sweet spectacle !


The Estuary Route
We continue our journey in Honfleur by the estuary road, in order to discover the gems hidden around Honfleur. A very pretty route running through the entire territory with a few essential stops:

For us, this lunch marks the end of our romantic weekend in Honfleur... We will come back for sure! To discover new gems, a new hotel, other restaurants. Honfleur has so much to offer us!

Honfleur can be visited all year round. For a more intimate stay, we advise you to come in the off-season, the accommodation and restaurants are less busy and you will have the impression of being alone in the world!
